Wrapping Up Dallas!

I am finally wrapping up
our fun trip to Dallas.

It's funny, Jessica and I spent the entire two weeks sewing
for the kids but I do not have any pictures!

Sometimes we get so busy we forget to get the camera out!

Below are a few other things
we did with the kids while in Dallas.

Colored with Chalk!

Roman and Johnna Katherine

Nixon really missed her daddy so
she drew a picture them playing.
Julianna Marie decided to draw Uncle Jared too!

JohnMark and his masterpiece!

Isla and JK!

It was JohnMark, Julianna,
and Johnna Katherine's
1st Day of School while we were there!
(Jessica and I did make their dresses)

Of course they had to have a silly picture!

Nixon and JohnMark!

JohnMark and Isla!

Roman LOVED playing
 with JohnMark's dress-up!

We ate Mexican! (my favorite)

We  played on a
HOT HOT playground!

Roman's favorite thing to do was
to climb up and down Aunt Jessi's stairs!

And to help JennaLeigh!

We went two weeks with only
 one child getting a virus!

That is a record for us!

But she felt better real quick!

Jessica and I did get one night
out without the kids.
We went shopping, got pedicures,
and enjoyed a quiet delicious meal!

We look forward to our next
visit with all the cousins!

They are coming to Alabama
at the end of October for Halloween!
(and for me and Jessica to
go to Atlanta Market!)

A few Pinteresting Recipes!

While visiting Dallas Jessica and
I had fun trying out new recipes we
 found on Pinterest!

I'm not sure the name of this creation?
I heard the kids call it an octopus and a spider.

All we did was cut the hotdogs in fourths,
stick 4 spaghetti noodles in them, and boil them!

It was super easy!
Perfect for feeding a bunch of kiddos!

The kids LOVED them!

Jessica made Blueberry Breakfast Cake

We had both been eyeing it
on Pinterest for a while!
As you can see it was delicious!

Jessica also surprised me and made a
special treat for dessert one night!

I honestly questioned rather
are not these would be good.

Jessica knows my favorite
food is Reese Cups.

But wrapped up in crescent rolls,
baked, and sprinkled in confectioner sugar?

I should have never
doubted my sister or Pinterest!

They were incredible!

Roman thought so too!

A Few of My Favorite Things!

While we were in Dallas we had many
fun outings but below
are 3 of my favorite things we did!

Pei Wei!

I LOVE Pei Wei!

It's basically the fast food version of P.F. Changs
and there aren't any (that I know of) in Alabama.

 Shopping!

Who wouldn't want to go to
the Galleria and go shoe shopping with 7 kids?

Nixon picked herslf out these fabulous blue twinkle toes!
But we settled on TOMS for everyone!

Unfortunately, I do not have
a picture because they had to order their sizes
and ship them to our house.

They were bribed with cookies
for good behavior in the shoe store.

Roman was so funny, he wanted to
eat only the M&M's and not the actual cookie!

Honestly the 3rd place would not
probably rank in my top 100
things to do in Dallas.

But it is definitely in my children's top 3!

 Rainforest Cafe!

My children LOVE the Rainforest Cafe!
They love watching the
"rainstorms" and the animals!

This was Roman's 1st trip and he really
enjoyed the monkeys and the elephants!

He even got a balloon monkey!

JohnMark chose to get his new
favorite animal, an owl!

The girls decided on butterfly hats!

I really do love going and watching the
kids reactions and excitement to the animals!

So I guess this is one of our
favorite places to go when visiting Dallas!

Roman of course just loves
anywhere that gives him balloons!

Here's a picture of the kids at
the Rainforest Cafe about 3 years ago.

It's amazing how fast time flies!
 (and kids multiply!)
