Souled Out! The "Youth Minister's Wife"

When asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" as a child I would have quickly said a youth minister's wife or a preacher's wife.

I am very blessed to have been chosen to fulfill that childhood dream of mine (although my reasons for wanting it have tremendously changed!)

Other than of course being a wife and mother I think being "the youth minister's wife" is my favorite role in life right now!
(well, other than when parents are complaining:)

I am have been blessed this past year to be able to teach the senior high girl's small group on Sunday nights!
It's such a blessing to teach and pass down the things
God has taught me.
Along with learning and growing in my faith alongside them.

Jordan, Cora and Erica are a few of my regular girls!

Abbie always keeps us laughing and things exciting!

The girls decided to name the new baby
"Baby X" and
they had everyone calling me "Mrs. Preggo"
because as Abbie says
"I've been pregnant for like the last 15 years!" :)

I've gotten to know each of these girls over the
past year in such a special way.
I am truly blessed to have them in my life.

I'm going to miss Erica next year as she leaves the youth!
Hopefully she will join our incredible college small
group on Sunday nights! (hint hint) :)

Me and my youth minister husband!
(I think if he gained a few pounds and got a goatee he
would look like a real youth minister! ;)

Tracey and I were two of the chaperones
in the girl's nasty nasty rooms!
I really pray my girls are not that nasty when they grow up!

As for camp, it was awesome!
The speaker was Ken Watson.
He really taught the Word and
he was a great camp pastor!

Tadashi sang/rapped the first night.
I can't say I am a huge fan of
christian rap but Tadashi was amazing!
He was the best speaker I have heard in a while.
He gave his testimony and clearly
presented the gospel multiple times.

If he is ever near you
get your youth there!
The kids loved him and so did we!

It was a wonderful week! I look forward to
the rest of the summer being a
"youth minister's wife'!
